We are excited for the opportunity to welcome back our patients and staff! With everyone’s safety in mind during this unusual time, we have taken great care in implementing a comprehensive set of new protocols to ensure the lowest possible risk of disease transmission that follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Please see our comprehensive list of changes below. We look forward to seeing everyone again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.

Some of the enhanced precautions and new procedures we have implemented:
•  Medical Grade Air Purification units in our treatment areas to remove germs from circulating air.
•  Enhanced nightly disinfection procedures using fogging or misting devices throughout the office to disinfect hard to reach places.
•  Record the temperature of every patient upon entering the office.
•  Record the temperature and confirm absence of flu-like symptoms for every team member each day.
•  Enhanced protocols during cleanings such as high evacuation suction devices to reduce or eliminate aerosols.
•  New personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face shields, gowns, and masks to be worn by clinical staff during some procedures.
•  An oral pre-rinse for all patients prior to dental procedures to reduce aerosol exposure to germs.
•  Hand sanitizer that you will be asked to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the operatories and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
•  Droplet barriers (“sneeze guards”) at reception areas.
•  Pens will be wiped between patients.
•  Please wait until your appointment time to enter our office. If you arrive early for your appointment, we ask that you wait in your car.  You can call us to let us know when you have arrived and if we are ready for you early, we will contact you to come in.
•  Removed magazines, children’s toys and other items difficult to clean and disinfect.
•  Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that fewer options are offered for scheduling your appointment.
•  We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
•  The waiting room and common areas will be wiped frequently with sanitizing wipes.
•  Advance payment arrangements to avoid delay and allow contactless exit from the office.
